Everything You Need to Know Before Hiring a Professional Security Guard Service in Saudi Arabia

Our clients across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and the wider Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regularly ask us about our guard deployment process, service agreements, compliance standards, and how our security personnel are selected and managed. We have answered the most important questions below transparently and in full so you can make a confident, informed decision about protecting your facility.

Licensing & Legal

Yes. Qimah Security Guards operates as a Ministry of Interior licensed private security company. We recommend that every buyer verify the provider licence and the licensing and vetting arrangements for deployed officers before contract.
Private security guarding is governed through Ministry of Interior licensing requirements together with applicable Saudi security, employment and social-insurance rules. Requirements can change, so clients should verify current provider licensing and guard registration before deployment. Qimah provides its current compliance documentation on request.
HCIS is the High Commission for Industrial Security, the authority under the Ministry of Interior that sets additional security requirements for regulated industrial and critical-infrastructure facilities.
Licensed private civil security guards operate unarmed. Where armed protection is legally required, it is handled by state forces or under specific state authorisation rather than offered as a normal commercial guarding option.
Security guards are employees with rights and obligations under applicable Saudi labour and social-insurance rules, alongside their licensed security duties and site post orders. Clients should not direct guards to act outside their legal authority. For formal legal interpretation, refer to the competent Saudi authorities.

Pricing & Contracts

Cost depends on coverage hours, guard grade, site risk and location, and contract length. A fully covered 24/7 post requires approximately 4.2 guards once rotation, rest days, leave and absence cover are included.
The exact monthly figure depends on the guard grade, site risk, location and contract term. We price after reviewing the site because a sustainable 24/7 post must include full shift rotation and relief coverage.
Qimah supports short event deployments as well as longer commercial contracts. Longer terms normally allow recruitment, vetting and induction costs to be spread across a longer period.
The largest difference is often the guard-count assumption for continuous posts. Compare how many officers are allocated to each post, how leave is covered, the supervision ratio and what insurance and employment costs are included.
Qimah quotations are structured to show the operating scope and included employment and supervision costs. Ask every provider to confirm in writing whether uniforms, insurance, GOSI registration and supervision are included.

Guards & Training

Training is matched to the post and can include access control, visitor management, patrol procedures, de-escalation, incident reporting, emergency response and site-specific induction before the first shift.
Typical duties include visible deterrence, access control, visitor and vehicle checks, patrols, observation, incident reporting, emergency escalation and compliance with documented post orders.
The terms are often used interchangeably. What matters operationally is the officer grade, assigned duties, training, supervision and authority defined for the post.
Depending on the site, deployments can include manned guarding, static officers, mobile patrols, female officers, event and VIP teams, access-control officers and supervisor-led site teams.
Officers are vetted and prepared for the requirements of the assigned site before deployment, with additional clearance processes applied where the facility or regulation requires them.

Deployment & Operations

Typical mobilisation is 24–72 hours after a site assessment, subject to location, guard grade, required clearances and the size of the deployment.
Yes. Continuous coverage is planned using full shift rotation and relief staffing so rest days, leave and absence do not create gaps in the post.
Post orders are the written instructions for a specific security position, covering duties, patrol routes, access rules, escalation contacts, emergency procedures and reporting requirements.
Field supervisors conduct scheduled and unannounced checks, verify attendance and post-order compliance, review incidents and document corrective actions where required.
Patrol verification can include time-stamped checkpoints, logged visits, vehicle tracking and documented findings so the client has evidence that the patrol occurred.

Yes. Event deployments can cover access and accreditation, crowd management, perimeter roles, supervisors and discreet VIP or close-protection coordination according to the event plan.
